Aaron is accountable for the operation and support of Powerco’s Information Technology and Communications Infrastructure. His teams are responsible for two datacentres in the North Island and 50 communications sites across Powerco’s areas of operations, supporting the monitoring and control of the electricity network.
Working with Phil Marsh, Powerco’s Network Operations Manager, Aaron is leading Powerco on a transformative journey of its SCADA infrastructure and communications systems. Key to this programme is a rollout of a Tier 3 DMR system and Operator Console comprising of 30+ base station sites, a geographically dispersed highly available console solution which will support more than 200 users.
