Most technicians will have, at some time in their career, been aware of interference entering a Land Mobile repeater or fixed base R/T. Some interference sources can be site related or quite close and others at considerable distance… or anywhere in between.  This presentation will focus on four examples that David has dealt with and how he went about determining the source/cause in each case.

Nowadays we are presented with digital (DMR) radio services which can equally be affected by interference but giving perhaps quite a different result.

Analog receivers allow one’s ears and experience to work to best advantage… it’s amazing what the brain can absorb and determine. Digital radio doesn’t give this bonus.
