Next Generation Crictical Communications (NGCC) is progressing development of New Zealand’s new Public Safety Network on behalf of Fire and Emergency, Police, Hato Hone St John and Wellington Free Ambulance. The Public Safety Network is the most significant advance in New Zealand’s public safety communications in decades to benefit our emergency services and all New Zealanders. The first service, Cellular Roaming is due to be activated mid July 2023 and the pilot of the new digital Land Mobile Radio is due to commence at the end of 2023.
