Neville has spent the last 43 years with Orion New Zealand, the third-largest power utility in New Zealand. While primarily the Architect of their communications networks he spent time in their venture capital arm with involvement in the North Island Gas networks as well as a number of technology start-ups. He is also a past director of the Canterbury Innovation Incubator. Neville was instrumental in the development of one of the largest MIMO UHF IP radio networks for SCADA and low latency power network protection in New Zealand. With ever increasing pressures to improve health and safety communications for field staff in very challenging terrain, his attention of recent time has been on DMR radio trails utilising simulcast.
