Pete Bains has 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and possesses a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications from Aston University (UK). He has worked on a variety of projects in shaping the industry globally and internationally (including British Telecom, Nokia, Spark, Ultrafast Fibre).

Pete developed the earliest strategies for fixed-mobile convergence, deployment of intelligent networks (IN) for value-added services, design of mobile core network solutions and leading the fibre revolution in New Zealand.

Over the past three years, Pete has been looking into emerging standards, technology and regulations that will impact and shape the future of the telecommunications sector.
