Superintendent Rob Cochrane has been with the New Zealand Police for 24 Years and Acting Chief Information Officer. Rob’s theme for ICT to 2021 is ‘connect’, to use technology to connect officers with each other and with the information and services they need; to strengthen the connection between Police and the public to help them be safe and feel safe; and to inter-connect with other providers for better community outcomes. Rob previously lead and delivered Police’s very successful mobility programme which provides world leading policing capability to the front line staff. Rob spent his first 21 years of operational policing in the Auckland Districts and held senior leadership roles such as Area Commander and District Deployment Manager.
