Andrew Christie is an Intensive Care Paramedic with vast experience in operational and leadership roles. He has been a Paramedic for over 20 years, he has also done time as a dispatcher and supervisor in the Ambulance Control centres. He was the Operational Support Manager for Auckland, Non-Emergency Services Manager and provided a key support role to transitioning the St John Health Transport Operations Centre to a new dispatch system. Operationally, Andrew spent time in metropolitan and rural areas of New Zealand, often working as a single responder. He led event medical teams for large events such as the Auckland Marathon and many sell out stadium crowds. He has a strong understanding of the operational critical communications needs of Ambulance Officers.
Andrew is currently the St John Business Change Manager for St John Ambulance and part of the New Zealand Next Generation Critical Communications Programme.
